The Radio Festival 2021

We have all kinds of festivals- music, literature, dance but not a single Radio Festival. With over 320 community radio stations, 425 private FM stations and 800 AIR stations, there was no one celebrating Radio!

The Radio Festival has been founded by Archana Kapoor, a community broadcaster, with support from a team of radio enthusiasts, who felt the need to bring back radio to centerstage. In this crowded space and clamour for the visual, some- where the sounds were getting lost

SDG FELLOWSHIP

The Radio Festival is pleased to announce a unique fellowship, in partnership with UNESCO & CEMCA, open to community reporters and community broadcasters in its 4th edition. The Fellowship provides an opportunity to cover important, under-reported stories through the audio medium. Aligned to the SDG Toolkit developed by SMART in partnership with UNESCO and UNICEF, New Delhi, the theme of The Radio Festival Fellowship in 2021-22 will be Sustainable Development Goals.
