SMART, with support with UNICEF, announces the POSHAN GHAR Community Engagement Award. A first of its kind effort towards increasing nutrition literacy among communities, the award is open to community radio broadcasters.
This call invites ideas for innovative ways for community engagement with local key stakeholders including families, collectives and health service providers to bring about positive social behavior change. The idea must be doable, replicable and scalable and must detail a sustainable engagement strategy that stimulates community conversations, promotes partner coalitions, and adopts a holistic approach to health and nutrition.
There will be two awards for each of the following themes -
1. Exclusive breastfeeding
2. Complementary feeding
3. Tackling anemia among adolescents
The 6 winning ideas will be adopted by UNICEF and SMART for on-ground implementation.
The winners will:
1. Get an award from UNICEF and SMART at The Radio Festival, 2022
2. Will be invited as panelists at The Radio Festival on July 25, 2022 to present their innovative solutions
Applications open from 15th June, 2022 -14th July, 2022.There will be no extensions, as the winners will be felicitated on July 25th in Delhi.
The award is open to community radios and their teams.
The applicant will be required to fill up and submit an online application form. You are required to mention the theme and how you plan to creatively engage with the community on the same.
